Austin's impact

He also organized a convening in summer 2015 to discuss childhood hunger. Over 60 leaders across the Triangle joined the conversation. As a result, the Department of Public Instruction asked JKHF and EducationNC to convene four Gathering for Good sessions across NC for nutrition directors and nonprofit leaders.

Austin returned as the first Senior Fellow in summer 2016. During that summer, Austin lead the Fellowship program, build out the curriculum, and continued development of the RISE toolkit. He continued is work in fall 2016 with JKHF partners at Impact Thread as a research assistant to develop finalize the Fellowship curriculum and RISE toolkit.
